Our Process
Consultation
Each patient will undergo a private consultation with our certified clinician. During this consultation, the patient and clinician will discuss the details of his/her needs and work together to determine the appropriate plan of action.
Fitting-Delivery
The fitting process usually begins with compression therapy to bring the affected limb to a stable volume. Once the limb is ready for treatment, a cast or digital scan is taken of the limb. The model is then shaped to “load” soft tissues and “off load” bony or sensitive areas. A clear diagnostic socket is created from the model and used to fine tune the fit of the device before creating the final product.
Delivery-Walking
Once an optimal fit is obtained we begin the training process. Like many things, the more diligently you practice, the better you will become. We pride ourselves in teaching you optimal walking techniques. Additionally, we ensure you that we will be there throughout the learning process to provide additional education and to make adjustments when needed.
